Save a Life Refuge Center International (SALRCI) is a fully registered Non-Profit and NonGovernmental organization done in accordance with NGO Coordination Act and the Kenyan Constitution. It was founded by Ms. Zipporah Nyagami in August 2022. The organization came into existence after Ms. Zipporah came across a bunch of children who were hopeless and desperate. After a close examination of these children, she realized that they were coming from poor backgrounds and their parents/guardians could not afford to provide for the basic necessities.
It aims at bringing change and sustainability to the community by empowering the children through provision of physical/basic needs (for example, food, clothing, shelter, clean water, education, health care), psychological needs (for example, hope, guidance and counselling, need for attachment, need for orientation and control, need for self-esteem enhancement, need for increasing pleasure and avoiding pain), love and affection and spiritual needs (for example, equipping them with knowledge of God, training them in the right manner of behavior, art of love, forgiveness, reassurance, hope and acceptance). It delivers its services through the power and spirit of volunteerism approach to build an empowered and self sustainable generation of children.

Whether one is a volunteer, a sponsor, or even a beneficiary, we are all one big family that does share the table and does not have any standards that separates us. We are all equal.
We Focus on Education
No child should lack access to education. We liaise with the government in giving priority to children from poor backgrounds to have access to bursaries and financial support, to help them access education.
We Follow Up
We follow up on our beneficiaries to ensure they are doing well, going to school, have food, and can manage to move out of the situations they were through.
